Baskin Business and Career Services, also known as BBCS Counseling Services.
We are a career counseling and career management/marketing organization for individuals and executives needing career direction, career & vocational testing, resume writing, and needing assistance with career and life planning transitions. We work with individual clients and corporate clients needing career development, human services, or outplacement programs.
Services provided include: career, interest, personality and values testing, discussion of short and long term goals, help with choosing continuing educational or retraining programs.
We can prepare executive resumes, various types of cover letters, biographies and communication tools. We can provide targeted research of various companies and recruiters advantageous to the client's new career path and geographic preferences, placement of resume on the Internet, and actual career marketing and strategic planning of the individual job search campaign.
The career marketing process encompasses interview training, identity and self esteem building, and education regarding the job market. The whole process for the retail client takes between 9 and 12 sessions. Corporate contracts are designed individually.
Beverly Baskin, Ed.S, MA, LPC, NCCC, Executive Director of BBCS, Inc., also maintains an individual counseling practice (www.beverlybaskin.com). As a National Certified Career Counselor and Therapist, she assists individuals and families with issues related to depression, anxiety, communication skills, and life transitions.
